Some of the world’s best surfers are currently at Mobys Beachside Retreat, Boomerang Beach and Pacific Palms for the Vissla Great Lakes Pro pres. by D’Blanc The elite five-day World Surf League (WSL) Qualifying Series (QS) 1000 rated competition –is the third of four QS events on the Vissla NSW Pro Surf Series – taking place from 7 – 11 February, 2018. Over 180 male and female surfers are competing in the event, which will see over 15 different countries represented across both divisions. Contest organisers are expecting punchy three-to-four foot surf over the majority of the event window, in what looks to be the third year of great surf in a row for the Vissla Great Lakes Pro. The Vissla Great Lakes Pro pres. by D’Blanc, part of the NSW Pro Surf Series, is supported by the NSW Government via its tourism and major events agency, Destination NSW. Member for Myall Lakes Stephen Bromhead said: “The Great Lakes Pro showcases the stunning Mid North Coast region to hundreds of surfers and fans from around the world. The Vissla Great Lakes Pro pres. by D’Blanc will commence each day from 7:30 am with the call for the day’s schedule and location confirmed via the event hotline at 6:45 am. The event hotline number is 0458 247 212 which will leave a voice recorded message each morning of the event. The Vissla NSW Pro Surf Series was developed for Australian and international surfers to gain ranking points and prize money on the WSL Qualifying Series. The Series also creates a NSW coastal road trip for all to explore the variety of waves, visit local communities and enjoy NSW surfing culture.
